Is Milos worth visiting?

The municipality counts over seventy-five beaches; Visit Greece says over seventy. They are not seventy copies of the same bay. White volcanic rock at Sarakiniko, coloured cliffs at Firiplaka, thermal water at Paleochori, a rope-and-ladder cove at Tsigrado, boat-only towers at Kleftiko. Add Plaka at sunset and a plate of fish in Pollonia, and the island has a shape that is not Santorini and not a purpose-built resort.

Anyone who needs step-free everything, a sandy pram promenade as the whole holiday, nightlife measured in clubs, or a guarantee that August will be windless. The meltemi is a seasonal north wind, not a rumour. South-coast beaches are the usual shelter, not a law of physics. Logistics are real: a small airport, a small taxi fleet, dirt finals, and Kleftiko simply not on the road map.
