Wind decides the beach, not Instagram
The etesian (meltemi) is a seasonal northerly. On those days Sarakiniko and Pollonia can be choppy while Firiplaka, Provatas and Paleochori are the comfortable coast — usually, not always. A southerly reverses the picture. There is no safety officer on the sand. Read beaches compared the night before, not from a list you wrote in February.

Summer has more flights into MLO and more ferry sailings into Adamas. Shoulder months need a hard look at the actual timetable for your date, including whether a high-speed or conventional ferry is running. See ferries and the airport. Inter-island hops are more fragile in a strong meltemi.
