Who sails, and how long it takes
Ferryhopper’s Milos–Piraeus listing gives a published range of about two and a half hours on a high-speed vessel to about seven and a half hours on a conventional ferry with island stops. Blue Star Ferries states 4 hours 35 minutes for its Piraeus–Milos sailing. Those figures are research snapshots from 20 September 2026. Buy the ticket from the operator or a ticket site, then send us the ship name and the date. We do not keep a live ferry API on this website.
Wind and cancellations
The meltemi, roughly mid-May to mid-September, is a northerly that can stop inter-island boats in strong spells. If your connection is tight onto an international flight, keep a night in Athens rather than betting the sea. See arrival and departure days.
On the quay
Adamas is a working harbour. When a large ferry unloads, taxis vanish. A port transfer means a name sign where passengers come off. Share the ferry; the team tracks the actual arrival. Cruise passengers use tenders — that is a different product, on the cruise page.
