Three nights
Night one: land, sleep near your arrival if the ferry is late — Adamas is the practical choice. Day two: north coast and the hill — Sarakiniko, a fishing cove, Plaka, perhaps Klima. Day three: a south sandy beach (Provatas or Firiplaka) or Paleochori with lunch. Leave slack for the way out. That is the compact plan on the old “how many days” page, rewritten so it does not pretend you also did Kleftiko.
Five nights
Keep the three-night core. Give Kleftiko its own day with a boat. Use the fifth daylight block for Pollonia, Papafragas from above, or a slower south coast. Read the itineraries hub for a day-by-day sketch you can hand to a driver.
One day
If you are off a ship, read cruise transfers first: all-aboard is the constraint, not your camera roll. One coast. One village. Water. A timed return. The one day in Milos page is the expanded version of that honesty.
