Itineraries

Day-by-day sketches, not a contract

An itinerary on Milos is a sequence of decisions, not a timed parade. Swap north and south when the wind says so. Keep Kleftiko on a day that can absorb a cancellation. Put arrival and departure on rails. The sketches below assume you have a way to move — rental, bus in season, or a driver — and that you will not see seventy beaches.

Three-night sketch

Day 1. Arrive. Adamas if the hour is late. Walk, eat, sleep. Day 2. North coast and hill: Sarakiniko, Mandrakia or Firopotamos, Plaka, Klima as the light falls — or the highlights tour as a packaged version. Day 3. South sand according to wind: Firiplaka or Provatas, or Paleochori with a table. Depart with more time than the map suggests.

Five-night sketch

Insert a boat day after you are settled, not on the morning you land. Insert a Pollonia half-day, with Papafragas from the clifftop. Keep one morning empty on purpose. See how many days for the argument behind the numbers.

Seven-night sketch

Add Kimolos from Pollonia if the ferry runs and you accept a separate island’s transport. Add a second Plaka dinner. Add a rest day that is allowed to stay a rest day. Repeat a beach you liked instead of collecting a new name. The island gets better when you stop treating it as coverage.
