Hold the island as a horseshoe around a large bay. Adamas sits on the inner north of that bay. Plaka and Trypiti occupy the hill on the west. Pollonia is the far north-east, facing Kimolos. Sarakiniko is the white north coast. Firiplaka, Tsigrado, Paleochori and Provatas are the south. Kleftiko is off the road network to the south-west. How to read the island

North and south are different holidays on the same day when the wind blows. Do not schedule Sarakiniko and Firiplaka as if they were adjacent bus stops; they are different coasts. Use distances before you pack five pins into a morning.

Arrival dots

Three pickup geographies matter: MLO, Adamas port, and the Pollonia quay for Kimolos. Cruise tenders use Adamas. Mixing them up is the most expensive way to start a holiday.
