Getting around Milos without guessing

A pre-booked car is the arrival tool: name sign, luggage, a fare you have already seen for listed routes. It is also the evening tool when you do not want to park in Plaka, and the beach tool when you want dropping at a car park with a collection time. Published figures live on the prices page. Unlisted villas and extra waiting are quoted. The form on this site is an enquiry; a booking exists after the team confirms in writing. Child seats are free on request when you give ages in advance.

Elysium does not operate boats, does not rent cars, and does not drive on Kimolos. The Pollonia quay is the end of the road service for that crossing.

The Municipality’s getting-around page lists taxis at the port and the airport and notes that the island fleet is small (the same page has been read as fifteen taxis). After a flight or a large ferry the rank can empty quickly. A taxi is fine for a short hop when you can see a car. It is a weak plan as the only arrival method in high season. Phone numbers, when published by the municipality, should be checked on their site — they change.

Milos Buses publishes seasonal timetables and states that they may change without notice. Summer listings commonly include Pollonia, Paleochori, Provatas, Achivadolimni, Sarakiniko and Firiplaka, with the main terminal in Adamas about 100 m from the ferries. Buy on board according to the operator. Do not plan a tight flight connection around a bus. The dedicated page is the island bus.

A rental car or ATV is the independent way to string beaches. It is also how visitors get stuck on a dirt final, lose a deposit, or spend sunset hunting for a space in Plaka. Insurance wording on unsurfaced roads is the renter’s problem, not this site’s. Elysium does not rent vehicles; we do collect you after you hand a car back — see rental-return pickup. Road kilometres and drive-time estimates on this site are generated from map routing, not typed from memory. Use distances and travel times. They remain approximations: goats, tour coaches and a closed dirt track will disagree with the model.
