When a taxi is the right tool
You can see a car. You have little luggage. The hop is short — Adamas town from the quay, a nearby hotel. You are not trying to reach Firiplaka at 18:00 with four suitcases after the last bus. In those conditions a taxi is simple and local.
When it is not
Flight landings, ferry ramps, late dinners in Plaka, villas with pins that are not on the waterfront, child seats you have not booked, and anything you need to be time-certain about. A private airport transfer or port transfer exists because the rank is not a reservation system.
